Sarah Bush
Field Producer, Morning Edition
Sarah Bush joins WBUR after a 3-year stint in Austin, Texas where she reported and produced for KUT, NPR, The World and Latino USA. Her stories took her to the steps of the Texas capitol building, the Texas/Mexico border and the jungles of Bolivia. One of the highlights for Sarah was helping produce an award-winning documentary on Central American gangs. She graduated with a dual Master's degree in Journalism and Latin American Studies from the University of Texas in 2007 and with a Bachelor's degree from Emory University in 2001.
Sarah began her journalistic career in La Paz, Bolivia in 1999, where she wrote for an English-language publication during a college study abroad. Sarah went on to serve with the Peace Corps in Bolivia, and afterwards traveled through Brazil, India, Nepal and Bangladesh. She decided her journalistic instincts fit best in the world of public radio.
