Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me and Morning Edition
Currently the Official Judge and Scorekeeper for NPR's weekly news quiz show, Wait, Wait... Don't Tell Me!, as well as long-time newscaster for Morning Edition, Carl Kasell has held a career in radio for over fifty years. Before joining NPR in 1975, Kasell spent ten years at radio station WAVA in Arlington, Virginia as morning anchor and news director. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he received the Leo C. Lee Friend of Public Radio News Award in 1996 and the Public Radio Regional Organization Award in 1991 for his "consistently flawless delivery" of newscasts.
