Sharon Brody

Weekend Edition

Sharon Brody is the voice of WBUR's weekend mornings. Every Saturday and Sunday she anchors the news for Weekend Edition and other popular programs such as Only a Game, Living on Earth, and Car Talk. During the week she frequently anchors the midday and afternoon news shifts.

A Boston radio veteran, Brody's experience includes more than a decade as Morning Edition anchor at WGBH and a long stint as Morning News Anchor, News Director and Features Editor at WFNX. Her humorous essays and features for broadcast and print have permeated WFNX, Marketplace, Monitor Radio, TV 38, the Boston Phoenix and other outlets. She also was a co-founder of Boston's award-winning radio sketch comedy troupe, "No Soap Radio."

Brody's hobbies include reading, photography, eavesdropping, and complaining about any temperatures below 65 degrees. She lives with her family overlooking the Green Line tracks in one of Boston's leafy green suburbs.
