If all goes according to plan, starting one week from today, 10 Boston police officers will be wearing body cameras on duty, partly in response to several shootings by police officers of young, black men across the country.

When the plan was first floated, no officers volunteered to wear the devices. So, police officers were then chosen to take part. Training on the cameras began this week.

To talk about how the program is going so far, Boston Mayor Marty Walsh joined Morning Edition.
