Harry Potter in Braille Hits Shelves

After much anticipation, the sixth book in the Harry Potter series, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," will be released tomorrow. And for the first time, blind readers will have a Braille edition available on the same day. This comes as a result of an agreement between Publisher, Scholastic Press, and the National Braille Press in Boston.

Although the Braille version of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" consists of eight volumes and weighs 11 pounds, it costs the same as the sighted version.

This program aired on July 15, 2005. The audio for this program is not available.
