State Lawmakers to Vote On Gay Marriage Amendment

The legislature takes up gay marriage again today in a Constitutional Convention at the Statehouse. Both chambers are meeting to revisit an amendment proposal they approved last year by 105 votes to 92. That bill would ban same-sex marriage but allow civil unions. It must pass again before going to the voters. Meanwhile, an alternative proposal has recently entered the debate.
