Handel and Haydn Society's Holiday Tradition

George Friedrich Handel's "Messiah" is more than a concert by choir and orchestra, it is also a holiday tradition. Every year at this time, "Messiah" is performed on stages around the world. At Symphony Hall in Boston, the Handel and Haydn Society is concluding its 152nd season of the "Messiah" this weekend.

Matt Largey sat down with the group's concert-master and first violinist this week to talk about the Christmas oratorio.

This program aired on December 2, 2005. The audio for this program is not available.
