Statehouse to Tackle ID Theft

BOSTON, MA - June 23, 2005 - Victims of identity theft are sharing their stories at the Statehouse this morning. They're part of efforts to push for stronger laws to protect personal data and punish those who steal it.
There are about 20 proposals pending before a special panel of the legislature's consumer protection committee.
