Funeral services will be held today for North End restaurant owner Joe Tecce, who passed away Saturday at 94.

Tecce's death marks the end of an era for the North End. Joe Tecce's Restaurant and Cafe remains a landmark in the area, attracting patrons from all walks of life since it opened in 1966.

We dropped by the restaurant yesterday to talk with Joe's son, Sal Tecce, and get a tour of his father's life's work. We started in a dining room decorated to resemble the North End, as it looked when Joe was young.
