Inventive High Schoolers

An omni-directional wheelchair, an anti-mine robot and a reusable enzymatic biodiesel unit are just a few of the gizmos being unveiled this week by high school students from around the country.

The students are part of the Lemelson-MIT "Inventeams" project which gives the teams up to $10,000 to complete their prototype gadgets.

They're in Cambridge this week to show off their work and Matt Largey went to check out some of the inventions.

This program aired on June 16, 2006. The audio for this program is not available.
