Tougher Commutes Ahead

There are new findings from the various Big Dig investigations. Governor Mitt Romney says his inspectors are questioning all the epoxy bolts in the tunnel where a Jamaica Plain woman was crushed to death last Monday.

Workers will re-enforce all the sites in the tunnel that use the epoxy-bolt system, by installing new bolts next to existing bolts to double up support on the ceiling system.

This morning traffic is flowing, or stopped as usual following the tunnel closings. Some 60,000 drivers used the tunnels each day before last week.

Yesterday's commute was better than expected but as the closures continue, traffic watchers say brace for tougher driving ahead.
