Rhinoceros, Rinoceronte

In Eugene Ionesco's 1959 play 'Rhinoceros' the residents of a small town sprout horns and transform into a grunting herd of thick-skinned pachyderms.

Right now the classic absurdist fable is being staged outdoors in three different locations, free of charge, at a park in Chelsea.

But that's not what makes this production of 'Rhinoceros' entirely unique.

Click the listen link above to hear Andrea Shea's report on how the play is performed in English one night and Spanish the next.

This program aired on July 21, 2006. The audio for this program is not available.
