Concerns Over New State Stem Cell Rules

They say the State Public Health Council rules are stricter than state lawmakers intended, when lawmakers passed a bill to encourage stem cell research last year.

State Representative Peter Koutoujian says the rules could ultimately have a chilling effect on the state's economy.

The Public Health Council says it closely followed the intent of the law.
