Logan Five Years After 9/11

Five years ago, at 7:58 and 7:59 a.m, two aircraft took off from Logan Airport in Boston. They never made it to their destinations. Terrorists hijacked the craft and crashed them into New York's World Trade Center towers.

Logan workers are marking those attacks later this morning with a moment of silence. September 11th is still very much on the minds of people who work at the airport although, as WBUR's Fred Thys reports, much has changed since that day.

This program aired on September 11, 2006. The audio for this program is not available.
