"John Adams, Unbound" at the BPL

The Boston Public Library recently opened an exhibit called "John Adams Unbound." Three years in the making, it displays 3,800 books, the entire personal collection of America's second President. Adams deeded it to what was then the town of Quincy, in 1822.

The BPL has held it in the library's rare books section since 1894. Now the collection is open to the public. Morning Edition has dusted off its library card to tour the John Adams exhibit with Curator Beth Prindle.

This program aired on October 10, 2006. The audio for this program is not available.
