From a business standpoint, Massachusetts government is a $28 billion corporation with more than 70,000 employees. That might explain why some of the major "shareholders" wanted to interview prospects for the state's CEO job yesterday.

There was no endorsement at stake. But the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce put three gubernatorial candidates under the spotlight for its members to assess.
