Life With Bees...in Somerville

In this Fall season, birds are flying south and bees are clustering in their hives for warmth. But the summer wasn't so 'hot' this year for beekeepers across Massachusetts. In Middlesex County alone, about two hundred people keep hives as a hobby in yards around the city and suburbs.

WBUR's Monica Brady-Myerov has spent this season with a beekeeper in Somerville, and now chronicles his not-so-secret life with bees.

This program aired on October 17, 2006. The audio for this program is not available.
