Mayor Douglas Wilder on Patrick's Election

Tonight Duval Patrick has become only the second African American to be elected to the position of governor in the United States.

In 1989 Douglas Wilder was elected Governor of Virginia and served from 1990 to 1994.

Speaking with Bob Oakes, the first African American governor, Douglas Wilder of Virginia, comments on Duval Patrick's election.

Douglas Wilder is currently Mayor of Richmond, Virginia.
