Labor Force Stagnant in MA: New Report

A new report raises concerns over the stagnant labor supply in the Bay State. "Mass Economy: the Labor Supply and Our Economic Future" released yesterday, finds that while other New England states have seen their labor supplies grow 4.6% to 6% over the last 5 years, Massachusetts has seen no growth during that time.

In particular, the study produced by the group MassInc shows that men are increasingly dropping out of the workforce. MassInc President and CEO Iam Bowles joins WBUR's Bob Oakes to talk about the ramifications.

This program aired on December 11, 2006. The audio for this program is not available.
