MA Teens Generate "Dollars For Darfur"

BOSTON, Mass. - December 28, 2006 - The crisis in Darfur has mobilized two Massachusetts teens to action: Ana Slavin and Nick Anderson have launched a fund raising competition for high schools across the nation. To spread the message, the high school juniors who attend Northfield Mount Hermon School" in western Massachusetts, are using online networks that have become synonymous with their generation: Myspace and Facebook.
The money raised goes to Darfuri refugees and to an advocacy group called the "Save Darfur Coalition." Ana and Nick jion WBUR's Bob Oakes to talk about their project, called "Dollars for Darfur."
