Coakley Conversation

On January 17th, Martha Coakley will be sworn in as the state's new Attorney General. She's the first women elected to the position in Massachusetts and the ceremony will take place in her hometown of North Adams.

Coakley brings some 25 years of legal experience to the job, most recently as District Attorney of Middlesex County. She joined that office in 1986.

Martha Coakley joined WBUR's Bob Oakes in our studios recently and they started by talking about what she plans to tackle first in her new office.

This program aired on January 8, 2007. The audio for this program is not available.
