Foreclosures Founded on Fraud?

A yellow two family home that sits high on a corner lot in Dorchester is going on the auction block next week. Frances Darden, who bought the house two years ago, can no longer afford the mortgage payments. In fact, she never could.

Darden's story is one of deception and, in this case, alleged fraud that foreclosure counselors say is driving up foreclosure rates in Boston and other urban areas.

WBUR's Martha Bebinger has more on the story.

This program aired on January 10, 2007. The audio for this program is not available.
