Kennedy Criticizes Bush Plans For Iraq

Massachusetts Senator Edward Kennedy planned to talk about health care during his speech to the National Press Club yesterday. But he changed his focus and spoke about Iraq instead.

Kennedy said he felt it necessary to outline his opposition to President George Bush's plans for more U.S. troops in Iraq.

Massachusetts' senior senator is among the lawmakers who have introduced legislation prohibiting both an increase in deployment and an increase in money for the Iraq war.
