Major Players to Exit Stage

Two leading lights are exiting Boston-area stages. Nicholas Martin, Artistic Director of the Huntington Theatre Company and Robert Woodruff, his counterpart at the American Repertory Theatre, have announced they're leaving their posts. Woodruff at the end of this season, Martin at the end of the next.

WBUR Critic at large Ed Siegel has long admired the work of both men and joins WBUR's Bob Oakes to talk about why they're leaving and what it means for the theater scene.

This program aired on January 31, 2007. The audio for this program is not available.
