New Primary Poll in NH

A new poll by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center shows Senator Hillary Clinton, of New York, is the favorite presidential candidate of likely voters in New Hampshire's Democratic primary. Arizona Senator John McCain and the former mayor of New York, Rudolf Giuliani, are tied for the lead among people likely to vote in the Republican primary.

The poll surveyed 644 randomly selected likely voters last week, and it was led by Andrew Smith, Director of the UNH Survey Center. He joins WBUR's Bob Oakes on the phone from Durham to talk about the latest findings.

This program aired on February 7, 2007. The audio for this program is not available.
