Brian Hart: Meehan's Letdown

One person who will sorely miss Martin Meehan's presence in Congress is Brian Hart, of Bedford. Hart doesn't even live in Meehan's district: The line passes about 1000 feet from the Harts' home.

But ever since Alma and Brian Hart's only son, John, was killed in Iraq in 2003, Brian Hart and Martin Meehan have been allies in trying to get better equipment for soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan.

WBUR's Bob Oakes talks with Brian Hart about his reaction to Meehan's decision to leave the work of Washington.
