You could say Governor Deval Patrick got a gift from Saint Patrick this weekend.

At the annual South Boston Saint Patrick's Day Breakfast held yesterday the gaffes that have plagued the Patrick Administration in its opening months were fodder for good natured jokes, and not the sharp barbs that sometimes mark the event.
