Saugus Man Killed at Virginia Tech

A 20-year-old Saugus man was one of 32 gunned down at Virginia Tech in the deadliest shooting rampage in U.S. history Monday.

Ross Alameddine was shot in his morning French class. He was a sophomore English major at Virginia Tech.

Meantime, area officials are reacting to the shooting by reevaluating emergency action plans at local universities. Boston Police Commissioner Edward Davis called for local university officials to gather and discuss campus security at Massachusetts schools.
