A Fallen Blue Angel

A Pittsfield native and member of the Navy's elite fighter pilot squadron the Blue Angels died this weekend in a plane crash on one of his first air shows with the team.

Kevin Davis, a 32-year-old lieutenant commander, was in his second year with the Blue Angels, the team known for its high speed, aerobatic demonstrations.

His plane went down on Saturday at an air show in South Carolina.

The Navy is investigating the cause of the crash.
