Boston's Elderly Memoir Project
Seniors from around the city will be reading from their life stories, tonight at the Boston Public Library.
They've been composing them through the city's Elderly Memoir Writing Project - an effort to document Boston's history, one neighborhood at a time, with some help from local writing instructors.
So far teachers have worked with residents from the North End, South Boston, Chinatown and Roxbury.
WBUR's Shannon Mullen sat in on some of the Roxbury classes to find out how the project is going.
This program aired on April 23, 2007. The audio for this program is not available.
