Punk Rock Pioneer

One of the Boston pioneers of punk rock returned to the Hub recently. Kristin Hersh brought her latest record and tour bus to town. Twenty years ago, her band, The Throwing Muses, jump-started the city's underground music scene.

Back then, Hersh and her fellow musicians were teenagers. These days, she's known as the "Grandmother of Art Rock," even though she's not much older than 40.

This program aired on April 24, 2007. The audio for this program is not available.
