Theories About Danvers Blast

The state is setting up a new inspection program to help avoid the kind of explosion that devastated a Danversport neighborhood last November. Inspectors will focus on small companies that handle dangerous materials and are located are in residential areas.

Meanwhile, local and state officials now say a build-up of chemical vapors caused the November blast at an ink and paint plant in Danversport. They released their findings yesterday. But neighbors have another theory and a federal investigation is still ongoing.
