State Gets Cash For Wind Turbines

Massachusetts could emerge as a "global center" for wind energy under a joint partnership between the state and federal government to build a wind turbines research facility in Boston Harbor.

Congressman Bill Delahunt says the federal 2-million dollar grant is crucial in moving wind technology forward:

"The future is offshore in deep water. That's what makes the award of this grant so important for Massachusetts."

The wind-research facility will open in 2009 at the Boston Autoport in Charlestown.
