Cause & Blame in Big Dig Report

A year after Big Dig ceiling panels collapsed and killed Milena Del Valle, a federal agency has identified the probable cause and who's to blame.

In its report, released yesterday, the National Transportation Safety Board found that the wrong epoxy adhesive was used in the I-90 Connector Tunnel.

The NTSB also concludes that several contractors and the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority are ultimately responsible for the consequent collapse. WBUR's Fred Thys attended the NTSB hearing in Washington and has this report.

This program aired on July 11, 2007. The audio for this program is not available.
