Littlefield on 'Sideline Spying'
Some developments in what's now dubbed the "Sideline Spying Scandal:" The National Football League is reportedly *still deliberating over an episode at the game between the New England Patriots and the New York Jets last Sunday.
NFL security confiscated a camera from a Pats assistant who was videotaping the New York Jets' defensive signals. The NFL bans teams from taping opposing sidelines.
Pats coach Bill Belichick issued a statement yesterday, confirming that he'd spoken with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell about the incident. "Although it remains a league matter," Belichick said, "I want to apologize to everyone who has been affected, most of all ownership, staff and players."
Well, WBUR'S sports commentator Bill Littlefield also has a few words to say on this matter...and other Patriots stories.
