Farming, A Collaboration

It's Fall harvest time, when city dwellers often venture into the country for pumpkins and other seasonal produce.

What they're also finding is that there's less farmland in Massachusetts these days, and many traditional farmers are diversifying or leaving the land. That's the subject later this afternoon on WBUR's "Radio Boston."

In this preview of the program, reporter Meghna Chakrabarti visits a small farm in Holyoke that's part of a new trend, as immigrants collaborate with Catholic orders around the state.

This program aired on October 19, 2007. The audio for this program is not available.
