Eagles to Take on Spartans

The Boston College football team has accepted an invitation to play in the Champs Sports Bowl. The 10-3 Eagles will take on the 7-5 Michigan State Spartans from the Big Ten Conference on December 28.

"We are extremely pleased to accept this invitation to play in the Champs Sports Bowl," said BC's athletic director, Gene DeFilippo. "Not only will we have the opportunity play a quality opponent in Michigan State, but our fans will have the opportunity to travel to one of the premier vacation destinations in the world."

The Eagles finished as ACC runners-up after their 30-16 loss to Virginia Tech in the ACC Championship game Saturday.
