Money for Arts Sake

Arts and culture are alive but struggling to thrive in Greater Boston. That's according to a report being released today by the Boston Foundation.

The survey focuses on whether the area's non-profit organizations are getting the support they need. It covers the years 1999 through 2004, and looks at changes in the makeup and funding of the arts sector.

Ann McQueen, of the Boston Foundation, is a co-author of the report. She joins WBUR's Bob oakes to talk about its implications.

Audio for this story will be available on WBUR's web site later today.

This program aired on December 19, 2007. The audio for this program is not available.
