Bruins Top Islanders

The Bruins get a 4-1 win over the New York Islanders as Marc Savard and Dennis Wideman each get a goal and an assist.

The Bruins have won four of their last six games and head into the All-Star break seeded seventh in the Eastern Conference. The Islanders have dropped four of six going into the break.

Tim Thomas made 28 saves and Zdeno Chara added two assists for the Bruins.

Wideman and Lucic scored goals 52 seconds apart to give the Bruins a 2-0 lead in the opening period. Savard made it 3-0 when he scored from two feet above the goal line in the second, followed by Phil Kessel's power-play goal.

Mike Sillinger scored the Islanders' lone goal in the third.
