MA Housing Forecast

A new forecast predicts home prices in the Boston area will decline another 8 percent before beginning to rebound in the middle of next year.

Analysts had previously predicted the state's housing market would turn around in 2008.

Some local analysts are still hopeful a rebound will come sooner.

A Boston Federal Reserve economist told a realtors meeting yesterday in Cambridge the region could see a recovery late this year before the rest of the country.
