Analysis: Casino Politics

Almost 24 hours after the highly-anticipated casino hearing started at the State House...the wrangling is still going on.

The Joint Committee on Economic Development heard testimony from 10 o'clock yesterday morning until close to eleven last night.

Committee members have until noon today to vote on the Governor Deval Patrick's casino bill. Then it could go before the full House as soon as tomorrow.

Politics have played no small part in the debate, and Tufts University professor Jeffrey Berry joins WBUR's Bob Oakes to talk about it all.

This program aired on March 19, 2008. The audio for this program is not available.
