Joe the Plumber Not a Licensed Plumber

John McCain says Joe the Plumber was the real winner of Wednesday night's debate.

The Republican presidential nominee told supporters outside Philadelphia that the story of Joe Wurzelbacher, who questioned Barack Obama in Ohio last week about taxes on those making more than $250,000 a year, would resonate.

Turns out Joe is not a licensed plumber. He said Thursday he didn't need a license to work for another company.

The two presidential candidates sparred at the debate over which one has the best plan to help small businesses. Joe the plumber hopes to buy one.

Said McCain: "America didn't become the greatest nation on earth by spreading the wealth. We became the greatest nation on earth by creating new wealth."
