Brockton Couple Survives Taj Ordeal

A huband and wife from Brockton are among the survivors of this week's terrorist attacks in Mumbai.

Willy and Gerrie Stadelmann hid behind their bed in the Taj Mahal hotel for 16 hours. At times, they covered their faces with wet towels to block out smoke.

The couple was part of a of a tour group. The rest of their fellow travelers were downstairs preparing to leave when the gunmen stormed the building.

A member of their group was killed.

The Stadelmann's talk to WBUR's Sharon Brody, and say they were so quiet the terrorists never knew they were there.
