BOSTON, Mass. - March 13, 2008 - Little green leprechauns and emerald-colored beer are signature icons of Saint Patrick's Day, when Boston revels in its Irish American heritage.
But what about the rich stories and traditions that go beyond stereotypes...beyond the Irish American gangsters so often portrayed in Hollywood movies?
Boston-based writer and director Dave McLaughlin delves into a deeper Irish America in his independent film, "On Broadway," which opens on Friday in area theaters.
