Analysis: DiMasi's Win An 'Orchestrated' Show

Traditionally, caucuses are held in private on Beacon Hill.

The leadership votes Wednesday were an exception. The proceedings were open to cameras, which meant members voiced their decisions in public. House Speaker Sal DiMasi himself acknowledged there was a certain element of stagecraft on the day.

WBUR's David Boeri was at the Statehouse and joins Morning Edition host Bob Oakes to talk about the "show."

This program aired on January 8, 2009. The audio for this program is not available.
