U2 To Perform In Somerville Wednesday Night

U2 fans have finally found what they're looking for.

After days of rumors and speculation, the location for a private concert by the Irish rock band has been revealed.

Somerville Mayor Joseph Curtatone says the Irish rock band will perform at the Somerville Theater in Davis Square on Wednesday night to promote its new album, "No Line on the Horizon."

Anyone looking for tickets is probably out of luck, though.

The mayor says all tickets have been distributed - many through radio stations - and none is being sold. The intimate theater seats fewer than 1,000 people and has hosted some big acts in the past, including Bruce Springsteen in 2003.

This program aired on March 10, 2009. The audio for this program is not available.
