Remembering Michael Shannon, 'The Dancing Doctor'

An inspiring figure in Boston--known as "The Dancing Doctor"-- died this week after returning from vacation in Argentina.

Dr. Michael Shannon was 55 years old .

Shannon was a world-famous pediatric toxicologist and former head of emergency medicine at Children's Hospital in Boston. He was also the first African-American to be named full professor of pediatrics at Harvard Medical School.

When Shannon wasn't at work, he was often dancing. He performed in the Ballet Rox annual production of "The Urban Nutcracker."

We speak with Ballet Rox founder and director Tony Williams, about his close friend, Dr. Shannon.
