Mass., N.H. Lawmakers To Oppose Border Tolls

Legislators from New Hampshire and Massachusetts are planning to gather on the steps of New Hampshire's State House to announce bipartisan opposition to proposed toll booths on either side of the border on Interstate 93.

The names of the 100-member Border Coalition will be announced at the noontime news conference.

Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick has proposed putting toll booths at the New Hampshire border, and New Hampshire Transportation Commissioner George Campbell has proposed putting toll booths in Salem in the southbound lane of I-93.
