Mass. House Speaker: Time For Ethics Reform Is Now

A push for tougher ethics and lobbying rules is moving forward on Beacon Hill. House Speaker Robert DeLeo unveiled an ethics overhaul Tuesday and it goes up for a vote on Thursday.

Among other measures, the plan cracks down on lobbyists who don't report their income properly and increase penalties for taking bribes.

The House speaker joins WBUR's Bob Oakes Wednesday morning to talk about the issue.
