Kennedy Touches On Cancer Fight In Health Secretary Hearings

Massachusetts Senator Edward Kennedy spoke about his battle with brain cancer Tuesday, as he opened nomination hearings for the newly-appointed Health and Human Services secretary.

Kansas Governor Kathleen Sibelius faced the Health, Education Labor and Pensions Committee, which Kennedy chairs.

Kennedy touched on how his own battle with brain cancer has taught him more about the health care system.

"Over the past 10 months I've seen our healthcare system up close," Kennedy says. "I've benefited from the best of medicine, but we have too many uninsured Americans.

Kennedy supports the nomination of Sebelius.
